Today is a quick post as I wanted to share the frame I have made in memory of our Dog Gabi, who we lost a couple of weeks ago. Gabi is coming home today, where she belongs.
I felt it important for my daughter to have somewhere nice to put a picture of Gabi, and to be able to write down a few memories of their adventures.
Gabi was a huge part of her life, and Aimee was instrumental in us adopting Gabi.
Gabi is Coming Home frame has many techniques including masking. Using versamark and a mask stamp the dots in random places. Then heat emboss in clear embossing power to give the background texture.
Brayer the pieces of DSP – I have used Cinnamon Cider. This is because Gabi was Black and Tan – and these colours remind me of her.
Memories and More Cards – journalling
The cards are from the World of Good Memories and More Card. Again I have brayered them to fit in with the colour scheme. The memories and more cards are great for projects like this, and also for making greeting cards with. They have so many uses and are great to have in your stash.
Gabi’s picture will be added to this and some journalling put on the “Our Journey” card.
I know this will bring Aimee comfort and happiness.
I hope you don’t mind me sharing this with you. It was a pleasure and somewhat cathatic to make. We rescued Gabi from a Rehoming Sanctuary and I know that she has a good life. She is waiting with my Staffie, Diesel over the Rainbow Bridge.
Sending hugs and love to all of you out there who has lost a pet or a loved one recently.
