Garden Shed In Blue

I am very blessed to have lots of great people around me. People who inspire motivate and push me to be the best I can be. And for them I am thankful. One such friend goes to a slimming group with me (well we did before lockdown), and I was really honoured that she asked me to make a special birthday card for her Dad. He has just turned 60. Garden Shed in Blue was the outcome.

This always leads to the question …

What do they like? What are their interests? (Ultimately resulting in me frantically scratching my head trying to match stamps to interests.

What colours do they like?

What size card, would you like a fancy fold?

My Brief for this one, he’s gonna be 60. He likes Blue, Gardening and Sport. Firstly I had to check if “Blue” meant the Boy Band – (haha) or if it meant the colour. I am happy to report it meant the colour.

Gardening

This gorgeous Garden Shed has been inked previously and I love the detail in it. This time I wanted to create a monotone card using shades of blue. In particular I wanted to use my new favourite blue – Misty Moonlight. I lurve this shade. Teamed with Balmy Blue it is a sure fire winner. Personally I love the Garden Shed in Blue tones.

World of Good

This suite is my favourite Male Themed Suite in the catalogue and the designer series papers the perfect choice to make my image pop from the page. The earthy tones of the paper only showing the richness of the blues off further.

The other images in the stamp set, in Misty Moonlight and fussy cut have been decoupaged on the inside to give texture and interest.

The front of the card is stamped along the bottom panel below the fancy front fold.
