Travellers Journals

Hi everyone. Sending hugs and hoping you are all well. I don’t know about you guys but I love to travel, and have been lucky enough to do so. I have lots of receipts, ticket stubs and other bits and pieces from my trips. I have recently discovered Travellers Journals. Why hadn’t I discovered these before my travels?

This is me in Rome a few years ago now. This was an amazing trip and I have many many happy memories and bits that need journalling. The papers in the World of Good Designer Series paper pack inspired me. The maps are gorgeous, the colours and the foiling …………. I am totally loving this pack.

Somewhere to put all those stubs and tickets

I wanted somewhere to put all those bits I had collected and was roaming through various media sources and discovered Travellers Journals. I watched several tutorials, as I wasn’t really sure what was in one, or indeed what to put in it when it was made. I discovered a tutorial by Sam Calcott of Mixed Up Crafts and have cased her project. She has two pages in hers and a clear pocket.

I have changed mine up to have a smaller notebook and 4 pockets, as most trips for me are at least a week, and having that many pockets would give me plenty of space.

Two of the pages

Both sides of the papers work so well together. Dauber ink edged papers in Mossy Meadow and the Travellers journal is built with Misty Moonlight, Cinnamon Cider and Bumblee cardstock.

Lastly I grabbed a new notebook I had lying around. I wanted to use a tall skinny one, that tore out at the top, so I could use the journalling in my scrapbook layouts later on. I decorated the notebook with Cinnamon Cider cardstock and stamped on it using the Beautiful world stamp set. Added some DSP and stuck it in the back of the travellers journal. Lastly I used one of the sliders to create a stopper for my tie wrap. The lacing around the journal is made from the Suede Ribbon.

If you would like to see another project I created with this suite then the previous post showcases the gorgeous stamps and Die bundle.

Don’t forget if you would like to purchase any of the products used here today simply head over to the shop – or click the links.
