Hello, hello, hello, Am I a little excited. Oh definitely. The New Annual 2020/21 Stampin’ Up catalogue is live. What better way to celebrate the new Stampin’ Up catalogue than showing you a beautiful card make with new products.
Do you remember growing sunflowers as a child? My brothers and I used to grow them and measure them. We each had a different colour pot and it was exciting to see whose sunflower would be the tallest. Such pretty happy flowers and such a fun thing to do as a child.

Heat Embossing
This technique is one that I don’t do very often, but I love it. Its magic – right in front of your eyes. I get butterflies in my tummy every time I see the Embossing Powder turn into the shiny image. Its just amazing.
For today’s card stamp the gorgeous sunflower image on Bumblebee cardstock using Versamark and then sprinkle with black embossing powder. Use your Stampin’ Up Heat tool to set the powder.
Die cut the image using the Sunflower Dies – these are so pretty and are easy to line up.
The Sunflower image is from Celebrate Sunflowers – available now and is from the new 2020/21 catalogue. This stamp set has 8 stamps and of course the dies match perfectly with it.

Colouring white embossed images
What better way to Celebrate the New Stampin’ Up Catalogue than with more magic …… stamp the leaves on black cardstock in versamark. Sprinkle with White Embossing Powder – and then heat set.
Taking your Blends colour the white images with your green blend. I used Old Olive – the dark one to do this.
This creates a beautiful embossed coloured image. Love it.
Pretty Ribbon

Everyone loves pretty ribbon and for me one of my favourites is a Gingham pattern. (Funny I hated my gingham dresses at school – we had to wear blue ones all summer). But, I seem to love the pattern now that I am older. This gorgeous new Bumblebee Gingham Ribbon is so pretty. One edge is stitched and the the other edge has a slight scalloped frill to it. So pretty. This just adds the perfect finishing touch to my project.
I have got my catalogue marked with lots of post it notes containing ideas for upcoming projects. If you have a technique that you would like me to spotlight I would love to hear from you. Drop me a message or a text and I will get back to you. I can then design something and do a facebook live or a video on your chosen technique. If you haven’t got your catalogue then please get in touch and I will send you one out.
Stay safe and well and enjoy some crafting time.
Crafty hugs.
