Beautiful moments at the beach. In these Covid-19 days these seem a dim and distant memory, but we will be able to go again and meet again. This card is evoking memories of my childhood and is making me smile in these hard times.
I grew up in Paignton on the South Devon Coast, and have many happy childhood memories of red buckets and spades, sandwiches with sand in, ice creams and swimming in the sea. So the minute I saw this stamp set I knew I wanted to make this card for my Mum. It will be sent to her this week, just to let her know I am thinking of her and to thank her for those lovely memories.
As a Mum myself, I know what hard work it is packing up a picnic, getting everything ready and getting to the beach. So I salute my Mum and all those other Mums out there who have done this.
The base of the card is Pretty Peacock, a deep hue of blues and greens. My image is stamped on whisper white – although you can use watercolour paper. I have stamped the images from Beautiful Moments in Momento ink and then coloured with water colour pencils. Stampin Up! have two sets available so you have plenty of colour choice.
Balmy Blue, Cajun Craze, Cherry Cobbler, Coastal Cabana, Crushed Curry, Flirty Flamingo, Garden Green, Gorgeous Grape, Granny Apple Green, Night of navy. 10 beautiful colours in this set.
Basic Black, Basic Gray, Bermuda bay, Calypso Coral, Daffodil Delight, Early Espresso, Melon mambo, Old Olive, Pacific Point, Pumpkin Pie, Real Red, Rich Razzleberry, whisper white. 13 pencils. All our watercolour pencils are both acid free and lignin free. So are also great for projects involving memory keeping.
In these current times I am really thankful for all my memories, and also my Stampin Up family and friends. I cannot image being without my craft and am grateful for all that everyone is doing to keep our spirits up. I can honestly joining Stampin Up was the best craft decision I ever made.
