Hi everyone. When the new catalogues hit my desk, I immediately knew I wanted to combine the Power of Hope with My Meadow. The combinations in my mind were endless. The only difficulty, which colours to choose.
The Stamps
My Meadow is a gorgeous stamp set in the Spring and Summer Catalogue. It has 24 stamps in it, which enable you to create beautiful garden scenes for both men and women.
Power of Hope is a free Stamp Set in the Sale-a-Bration promotion. It comes with a gorgeous embossing folder – making it even more versatile. There is a gorgeous gazeboo, oriental figure and tree of hope stamp.

Oriental loveliness creates hope in my meadow
The beautiful oriental lady in Power of Hope and the tranquil gazeboo made me feel that there would be hope in my meadow. That this card would bring tranquility and joy to whoever received it.
My colours are Gorgeous Grape cardstock, layered with whisper white. Stamp the gazeboo first, in momento. Using your watercolour pencils, add colour and then mask it off. Next stamp the grass, in granny apple green. Stamp the tree trunks in soft suede and then add blossom in calypso coral. Lastly stamp the clouds in grey granite. (These stamps are from the My Meadow stamp set.) I stamped the base of the card with the tree of life from the Power of Hope stamp set in Gorgeous Grape. This tree reminds me of the Tree of Life I saw in Disney with my kids. And that everything is linked.
The oriental lady was stamped onto scrap and coloured using water-colour pencils, but not until she had had her dress stamped with the tiny flower stamp. She was then fussy cut and popped onto the front of the card with dimensionals
Everyone at coffee and card enjoyed creating this project, and they varied the colours of the blossom and the ladies dress – the same stamps but so many different looks.
