I kinda have a thing for ribbon, and really must use it more on my cards. I love buying it but never like to cut it. Teaming it with Sponge Brayers and coming up with something different has created this card.
Lemon Lime Stripy ribbon and a sponge brayer
These are two new products in my craft stash. So I decided that it would be a good idea to use them.
The Petal Passion designer series paper is just perfect for adding colour to. Using the Sponge Brayers you can add as much or as little colour as you like. Varying the tones over the card.
Whats more you get two brayers in a pack and they are washable.
How to Brayer
I love the lemon lime twist colour – along with everyone else and have inked my brayer with it. I started to add colour to the Petal Passion dsp from the bottom right corner. Brayering diagonally as you go up the card to the left hand corner.
You can add more colour by going over the area again – don’t forget you can’t take colour away.
This gives a lovely soft colour to the designer series paper.
Everyone loves Happy Wishes
And its nice to tell someone they are the best. And this sentiment is just so darn cute and pretty.
Stamped on whisper white and cut with the stitched framelits, and matted onto lemon lime twist cardstock (cut with the layering ovals dies) it adds just the right amount of pretty and sentiment, whilst still keeping a fairly clean and simple feel to the card.
Cut that ribbon
The card base is once again Whisper White Extra thick and the next matt layer is Lemon Lime Twist – but you already knew that . Next is that gorgeous brayered DSP.
I stick the dsp down onto the matt layer and then wrap my ribbon around so the horrid ends are tucked away. I then create a crafters bow and attached with glue dots. (Love these little guys they stick almost anything and are invaluable in your craft kit.)
Lastly I stick the whole lot to to the front of my card base.
