Dauber Colouring – a new way to colour

I dont know about you, but I love to colour.  Its a great way to destress and relax.  I love finding new ways to use our products and dauber colouring is a new way to colour using inks and daubers.

Dauber Colouring – how do I do that?

Its a really easy technique to master so whether you have been stamping for a long time or are just starting out this is a great one for everyone.

Creating this gorgeous card is fun and it has lots of different elements to create a real wow card for the recipient.

Stamp your flowers from the Petal Palette set in Archival Black ink.   Leave to dry.

Whilst waiting for that to dry take your small whisper white piece of cardstock and stamp top and bottom with the dots (again from the petal palette set) in Lemon Lime Twist.

On a scrap of whisper white stamp the bird in Archival Black in and use the corresponding dies to cut the bird out.

Cut out two sets of the flowers from Berry Burst Cardstock and stamp with versamark.   Use clear embossing power and heat emboss.

Lemon Lime twist Sentiment.

Lemon Lime twist is the base for the sentiment.  Stamp your chosen sentiment in versamark and heat emboss with black embossing powder.   Cut the sentiment out using matching dies.

Using two daubers, and the lemon lime twist ink pad and berry burst ink pad, ink up your dauber and ink up the flowers and leaves you stamped in a dabbing motion, varying the pressure and going over some areas to create different depths of colour in your stamping.

Please this layer onto your Lemon Lime twist matt, and in turn stick that to your card base.

Ribbon edge

Using the ribbon edge punch, and lemon lime twist punch out a section as long as your top white layer.

Stick down the black DSP onto your stamped and daubed image.  Next add the ribbon edge you have punched out.  Lastly add the top matt layer, adding the berry burst heat embossed flowers and bird.

Lastly add your sentiment.
