Stampin Up Butterfly Basics Back to Black

Hi guys

Stampin Up Butterfly Basics Back to Black

Hello lovelies.

We gone a little bit retro and vintage today with my Stampin Up Butterfly Basics Back to Black card.

Stampin Up Butterfly Basics Back to Black

Taking very vanilla cardstock I have created my card base, gently sponged the edges with crumb cake and have then added some similarly distressed Typeset DSP.

I have added a black matt layer and then stamped onto a piece of very vanilla cardstock using Tip Top Taupe, Crumb Cake and Basic Black using lots of the stamps from Stampin Up Butterfly Basics stamp set.   I have triple stamped the fern to give lighter shades of black and depth to the card.

Lastly I cut three small typeset DSP butterflies using the small butterfly frame lit, I have then cut a medium butterfly using the framelits in basic black.  These have been layered and shaped to give the effect of floating wings and finished with some basic jewels.

I have then attached this to the front of the card using glue dots.  Perfect.

My Stampin Class ladies voted this their favourite card in the card class and have all since cased it.  Its so simple to create yet so effective to look at.

Stampin Up Butterfly Basics Oval Frames

Hey Hey Everyone.

STAMPIN UP BUTTERFLY BASICS OVAL FRAMES

Stampin Up Butterfly Basics Oval Frames is day day 3 of my Stampin Up Butterfly Basics series.   Today I have combined it with Oval Frames and the new Brick wall embossing folder, and the itty bitty butterfly punch.

Stampin Up Butterfly Basics Oval Frames

The base of my card is the lovely Old Olive.  One of my go to colours.  It goes with so many of our colours and always looks good.  To create my wall I have used Daffodil Delight and the new Brick Wall embossing folder.  I just love this folder, it gives such a great background and I have lots of ideas that I want to try with it.

I used two of my oval framelits to create the old olive frame.  I then stamped the gorgeous “cowslip” from the Butterfly Basics stamp set and used my Stamp ‘n’ Write markets and my blender pens to colour this image.

I then stamped the sentiment and the itty bitty butterflies (Again from the Butterfly basics Stamp Set) I punched these out and then punched out the sentiments using my  oval punches.

All the bits were layered and stuck using tombow and dimensionals.  I love how clean and fresh the colours are together.  What a lovely bright vibrant card to have on your mantle shelf.

STAMPIN UP STAINED GLASS BUTTERFLY BASICS

Morning lovelies.

STAMPIN UP STAINED GLASS BUTTERFLY BASICS

Sometimes its nice to create something clean and simple (CAS).  And todays card Stampin Up Stained Glass Butterfly is just one of those cards.  Beautiful yet, clean and uncluttered, with just the right amount of pizzazz.

I wanted to show you how amazing the framelits are that match the set and how they can be used as a focal point on your card.

Stampin Up Stained Glass Butterfly

This card uses the Stained Glass technique which is so simple to do.  Using Sponge daubers cover a piece of cardstock with colours of your choice.  This piece of card needs to be slightly bigger than the aperture you are going to cut in your top layer.

I cut my butterfly from a white pice of cardstock.  I then stamped the two daffodil delight lines using the Butterfly Basics stamp set in daffodil delight.  I have used both the die cut and the cardstock it was cut from.  By placing the coloured stained glass behind the front bit and then putting the butterfly back into its aperture.

All the items used to make this clean and simple Stampin Up Stained Glass Butterfly card can be purchased through my online shop, simply by clicking the link in the sidebar.

The wide selection of stamps in this stamp set makes collage backgrounds for your cards super easy, as everything co-ordinates perfectly.  The lovely long ferns, cute postmarks and the pretty little flowers are just some of the ones I used today.  Not to mention the cute sentiments.  It really is a must have set.

I created my easel base using whisper white cardstock, then stamped with Pear Pizzaz, Melon mambo, daffodil delight, and tip top taupe.  The butterfly was cut using the matching framelits.  (Whats more you can purchase the stamps and the framelits as a bundle and save 15% – it just gets better and better)

After cutting my butterfly I used sponge daubers and the same colours to create the multi coloured effect on the butterfly.

I really enjoyed creating this card and the ladies in my monthly classes all enjoyed creating this one.

CLASSIC GUY GREETINGS FROM STAMPIN UP

Hiya everyone

CLASSIC GUY GREETINGS FROM STAMPIN UP

So today is the final of the five cards I have created recently using the Classic Guy Greetings from Stampin Up.  I am so in love with this set…. it solves so many problems when it come to having to make male cards.  There is a sentiment and image for every occasion.  Whats more the sentiments also lend themselves to other stamp sets as well, so you need never be stuck for a sentiment for a male card again.

guy car fathers day june

Today’s card is very vanilla and has been cut at 11 1/2″ x 5 3/4″  and then folded in half.  I then added Typeset DSP which had been distressed around the edges using crumb cake ink and our daubers.  This really does give a super soft effect and make the paper pop.

Again using very vanilla cardstock I stamped my image and have mounted it behind the polaroid frame I created using another piece of cardstock and my square framelits.  Before mounting on the card I stamped the Sentiment “To a Classic” on the front and then distress all the edges with the sponge daubers and crumb cake ink.

The banner was stamped and trimmed with the snips as before, and again has been inked using the sponge daubers.  I added three layers of ribbon, burlap, chevron and linen to create the flag effect under the banner.

Lastly I created a matching  envelope from the DSP to complement my card.

I hope you have enjoyed seeing these five creations as much as I have enjoyed making them.  Don’t forget to leave your comments I love hearing what you think.

Check back again for 5 days of Butterfly Basics.  So pretty and girly, I just know that your gonna love it.

Blue Shoes with Stampin UP Guy Greetings

Hey guys,

STAMPING UP GUY GREETINGS BLUE SHOES

So are you loving the other cards in this series of cards.  I have been having great fun using the Guy Greetings stamp set from Stampin Up.  Today’s card is Blue Shoes and has been made using the Stampin Up Guy Greetings stamp set.

I have changed the colours again and this time have used pool party.  I used the gorgeous large dots embossing folder to create the background.  Isn’t this just too cute.
blue shoes with Stampin Up Guy Greetings

The base of my card is very vanilla and I have stamped the shoes directly onto the inside of the card.  The front was matted and layered.  The shoes were stamped in a line using my Stampa -ma – jig.  This is a great tool for being able to line up stamped images and get them exactly where I need them to be.

I also used it put the sentiment onto the top of the shoes.

The little banner sentiment was stamped and then I used the snips to cut the banner ends into it.  The edges of the matting and layering have been distressed with the same colour ink to give definition to the card.

This would make a great birthday card for the fashionista male in your household.

Righty Tighty – Guy Greetings from Stampin Up

Hello lovelies.

Righty Tighty GUY GREETINGS from Stampin Up – Day 3,

The gorgeous Guy Greetings from Stampin Up has really been a boost to my stamp sets.  I adore all the images and the great male sentiments.  This set has really inspired me to get creative and I hope that you guys are finding my creations inspiring.

As a teenager when I was learning to drive my Dad showed me how to change the wheel on my car.  I remember him telling an easy way to undo the nuts, “Rightly Tighty, Lefty Loosy!!”  It stuck with me for years and works for DIY as well as car maintenance.

Today’s card is the card I created for my Dad because this saying was so apt.

Guy Greetings from Stampin Up - Rightly Tighty by Crunchie Crafts

Using the gorgeous Typeset DSP – (Designer Series Paper) I created a gorgeous front to my card.  I sponged the edges of my DSP to a very vintage look to my card.  I loved the polaroid frame that I created for my card on Day 1, so I decided to use it again today.  First I stamped the main image and then on a second piece of cardstock I cut out the middle of the cardstock using the Square Framelits.   I raised the polaroid frame using frailest.  The sentiment was stamped onto a rectangle of cardstock, and then distressed before creating the banner end with my 1″ square punch.  I pleated some chevron ribbon down the front of the card and attached my banner on top of it.

Lastly I made a matching envelope from the same DSP stack.

All the products used in creating this gorgeous card and envelope can be found on my online shop by clicking the link in the sidebar.

Guy Greetings from Stampin Up – Day 2

Hello lovelies,

Guy Greetings from Stampin Up Day 2

Welcome back to my Week of Guy Greetings from Stampin Up, created for you by Crunchie Crafts Lisa Cornwall.

Today’s card is a little different to yesterdays and is in the most beautiful pale blue you will ever find.  This card was a commission order and I really enjoyed working in the Soft Sky colour.  It works so well alongside Very Vanilla to give this really classy combination.

Don’t you just love these anchors?  The Guy Greetings set is just so versatile and the sentiments are just perfect for those special occasions in any man’s life.

On this card I have used the “You’re my Anchor” sentiment and added “Dad” at the bottom.  The main card was randomly stamped using soft sky ink and the anchor stamp.  The gorgeous wall was created using our new 6″ x 6″ embossing folder.  I then gently sponged the embossed piece of soft sky cardstock to create this really cute wall.  The two anchors were stamped onto very vanilla cardstock and then fussy cut using my Snips.  These little scissors are just perfect for fussy cutting this kind of shape.

Guy Greetings from Stampin Up – day 1

Hi everyone,

GUY GREETINGS from Stampin Up created by Crunchie Crafts – Day 1

Apologies for the absence, but family life has not been easy and I needed some time out.  But i’m back with lots of lovely projects to show you and hopefully inspire you with.  Today I am showing you the first of 5 projects that I used the Guy Greetings stamp set from Stampin Up for.    I made these for fathers day, but you can change the greeting for birthday, or for any special occasion for that wonderful man in your life.

Guy Greetings from Stampin Up created by Crunchie Crafts Lisa Cornwall, Independent Stampin Up Demonstrator

To make this I used the lovely new thick Whisper White Cardstock for my card base, cut to 11 3/4″ x 5 3/4″.  Folded in half to create a 5 3/4″ square card.  Then I added some Typeset DSP, which had been ink distressed.

This DSP (Designer Series Paper) is really lovely to use and is slightly lighter in weight than our other DSP, but the designs are really beautiful and very versatile.

I stamped onto whisper white and cut the gorgeous frame using a rectangle of DSP and our square framelits.  Its easy to create this lovely polaroid photo effect in this way.  To create the banner I cut a 1″ strip of cardstock, stamped my sentiment and then using Snips cut the banner end.  I stuck this onto my card using dimensionals.  Everything has been distressed with crumb cake ink, before I added some burlap ribbon and some chevron ribbon, and finally stuck my polaroid style stamped topper.
