Sugar Nellie and LOTV

I’ve had a great day today, Not only did the Cutie Pie Blog go live but, Mr Mojo has definitely been present today and I have had a very productive day.  I have made two cards today, one for an Aunt’s birthday and one to go in my stash.

I hope you like them

The first is a cute Sugar Nellie image.  I have coloured her in pinks and blues.  She is matted and layered on to papers and miriboard.  The papers are from the Papermania Birthday collection and also from the Magnolia Flower Garden pack.  I have used papermania pink roses, glossy accents, some card candi and of course a double ribbon bow.  The gorgeous image was of course coloured with promarkers.

The next card is this cute little LOTV bear going for a drive in his fab mini convertible (oh how I wish)……  Anyway the papers are from the  Forever Friends Good Life collection.  I have used a Tulip sentiment and some card candi.  The image is coloured with Promarkers and the shadowing underneath the car with Dovecraft chalks.  I have decorated the inside with a car cut from the Heritage Cricut collection.

I am going to enter this card into the following challenges

I am soooooo excited – as you know I was asked to be a Guest Team Designer for the Fantastic new Cutie Pie Blog.  Well today’s the day we go live and it would be wonderful if you could pop on over and join in with our fantastic challenges at:

We have wonderful sponsors and there are great prizes.  The design team are truly talented and have come up with some fantastic ideas.

Anyway I was asked to guest design for this first one and here’s my card

The papers are from the fantastic new Christmas range by Kars.  The gorgeous little cuties are of course Penny Black.  These are coloured with promarkers and the snow created with Ranger Stickles glitter glue. The sentiment is a Hunky Dory one and the leaves are cut from Stampin Up papers.  To finish some papermania flowers and some card candi.  The bow is a double bow in Papermania Christmas Ribbon.

Well it’s wet and horrible here in Somerset today, kids out with friends, hubby off working, so I have the perfect crafting day.  Spent a fantastic day yesterday at Monkton Elm Garden Centre, at a Docrafts Craft Demonstration with Sue.  It was brilliant.  Did I come away empty handed……….. no of course not.  Also got my new Heritage cartridge for the Cricut.  So excited, can’t wait to try it out.

Anyway here is a card I have made for the Mil. Its their friends anniversary so a card was needed.  Something nice and sunny ………….

So here’s tilda in all her summery colours.

The yellow papers are from the Papermania colour capsule range, the oranges are from Stampin Up.  Tilda has been coloured using Promarkers.  I have then inked the edge of the image using Papermania Mini Ink Pads.  The sentiment is LOTV and I used my Nesties to create the shape.  The swirls are Tim Holtz.  The roses are made from sprirals of torn paper.  The verse and flower are from the Docrafts Digital Designer Cd.  The edge of the insert was punched with a Martha Stewart Punch.

A little bit of star-gazing inspired this little gem.

I love tatty ted and this topper is just really cute.  The backing papers are the front cover of the tatty ted 12 x 12 collection of christmas papers.  The stars are by papermania and the sentiment is tatty ted.  A quick and simple but gorgeous card.  Inside the card was finished with  snowflake cut on the cricut, a Hunky Dory sentiment and a Tatty Ted decoration.

The autumn is coming, the leave are changing colours and the trees are putting on their autumn finery.  I love the colours in the countryside at the moment and these have inspired my card.

The image is LOTV, coloured with promarkers.  The postcard is an LOTV stamp as well.  I used Do-Crafts nesting dies to cut the shape.  The roses are handmade from cardstock and then edged with glitter glue.  The backing papers and the message stickers are from Bo Bunny.  The leaves for the roses were cut on a Cricut.  The card was finished with some card-candi.

Hi everyone.

This is a card I made for AsIDoRodos on the Docrafts Forum.  It is friendship card.
The flower is made on the Cricut as is the word Hi.
I have used some older papers I had (The brown and reds were originally from TKMax, don’t know who by tho.) and the yellow pattern paper is a Papermania one. The brad was part of my birthday presssies earlier this year from a crafty friend.  I finished it off with some pale blue Kars gems.  The ribbon was won on a docrafts challenge.

I have been having a bit of a blog hop today and have come across the Pixie Cottage.  They have some fantastic candy up for grabs, but also they are showcasing the latest rubber stamps in their collection.  There are some fab bears, some cute bunnys and much much more.  My fav is the two bears cudding.  They remind me of the two “Charlie Bears” that I have called Florence and Haydn.  These two bears are named after my Nan who I lost 22 years ago, but still miss greatly.  These bears enable her to be with me always (if only in name!).

Good evening.

How are you all?  Thanks for dropping in to see what I’ve been up to…….

I have some lovely new LOTV images to play with and decided that although I was too late to enter their sketch challenge, (closed last night) I would play along and see what I came up with.

My card is made using Kars Christmas papers, the nativity lotv image coloured with promarkers and a doily from Papermania cardstock cut on my Cricut.  The fab sentiment is a Hunky Dory one.  The pink Cored’inations paper is embossed with a Cuttlebug embossing folder.

Hi everyone from a damp and cold Somerset.

Some good news this week.  I have been asked to be a guest designer for the Cutie Pie Blog.  I am really excited about this.  The first challenge goes live on the 19th September.  Please be sure to check us out and join in.

Below is the first project I made this week with my new toy.  My fantastic hubby purchased a Cricut Expression and some cartridges for me last week and they arrived last Friday.  Although I had to wait until Monday (he needed to make space in his office for my machine) to be able to play with it.

The card is a girls birthday card.  It is an easel card.  I have used the Cricut to make the backing paper shape, the doily and the internal message on the card.  The decoupage is Tulip.  The Doily has trees cut into it which blend really well with the lovely Japanese card in which Tulip is walking.  The card used for the doily is a Papermainia cardstock, the blue backing paper is from the Tulip range.

Good Morning and a bit of christmas fairy dust

Firstly sorry I have not been around much on the forums and the blogs for the last couple of weeks.  Have been spending time with the kids and sorting out all the back to school stuff they need.  I have tried to look all your lovely blogs in the weekend blog hop, but am sorry if I have missed any.

Well to get me back into things I decided to break open the Flower Fairy Christmas Decoupage pack I bought at a steam rally a couple of weeks ago.  I love the flower fairies and these are great.

I have used a double fold aperture card as my base, the papers used are from the papermania Christmas Goody Bag by Docrafts in July.  The image is by Crafters Companion.

On the inside I have added an velum panel and overlaid it with a further flower fairy image.

I hope you like it.
