Stampin Up Emboss Resist Leaves

Hey Peeps,

Stampin Up Emboss Resist Leaves

So todays card was inspired by my wreath from yesterday.  I loved the leaves and had a few left over, so I wanted to create a special card.  Stampin Up Emboss Resist Leaves was born.  I have used emboss resist techniques on this as well as stamped and die cut leaves.

My card base is Delightful Dijon, topped with Chocolate Chip and a very vanilla matt.  I stamped the Vintage Leaves onto my very vanilla in versa mark and then sprinkled with Cherry Cobbler embossing powder.  This is now retired but black would look amazing effective.  A few minutes with the heat tool and I had the most gorgeous leaves.

Out came the sponges, cajun craze, chocolate chip, and delightful dijon, and I got to inking up my very vanilla cardstock.

Once done I added the spray of diecut leaves and the cute little wooden heart embellishment.

Stampin Up Emboss Resist LeavesOf course I finished off the inside using the leaf stamps in the same colours and inking the edges.  Super Cute and super cool.  Love it.

Stampin Up Bohemian Dsp meets Wetlands

Hello my lovelies,

Stampin Up Bohemian Dsp meets Wetlands

Some time back I showed you some lovely cards and a bag made using the bohemian dap from Stampin Up.  Stampin Up Bohemian Dsp meets Wetlands is a continuation of this.  I love the colours in it, and it works so well for a masculine card.

Here’s the envelope first.  This is for my Step-Dad, “P”, I made this using the wonderful Envelope Punch Board.  It makes making matching envelops super easy.

Stampin Up Bohemian Dsp meets Wetlands

I stamped the little tag with the birds from the Wetlands set as well.

Next is the card.  I used the same DSP,

matted and layered it.  I then used the co-ordinating cardstock in Blackberry Bliss and Delightful Dijon and the Square Framelits to cut the centre piece.

The very middle has been sponged with our wonderful inks and then stamped.

The inside has a repeat of the front but also has a money pocket.  This is because my Dad had Euros for his holiday spends.

Stampin Up A Tissue

Hello peeps

Stampin Up A Tissue

A tissue, a tissue, we all fall down.  Memories of childhood nursery rhymes come to mind when I titled this one Stampin Up A Tissue.  But seriously today’s make is using the resist emboss technique.  Its a really cute tissue box cover to match the gift card I made yesterday.

Again I have used the lovely Tip Top Taupe from the 2015/17 In Colours and Blackberry Bliss from the 2014/16 In Colours.  These two sets of colours (10 in total) blend seamlessly together to give an amazing colour palette.

Stampin Up A Tissue

How gorgeous is that.  It fits over a standard size square box of tissues (available in most Supermarkets)  Again I have used the new labels thinlets dies to create my tissue hole and the surrounding trim.

I love the emboss resist technique and adore how the shading with the sponges highlights different ares of the box.  I have used blackberry bliss, tip top taupe and crumb cake to do this.  I have also stamped over the top as well.

Don’t forget to check back tomorrow for more inspiration.

Stampin Up Awesome Gift

Hi lovelies

Stampin Up Awesome Gift

My class in July was using the Awesomely Artistic Stamp Set.  I love this very versatile stamp set.  My Stampin Up Awesome Gift Card is part of the class.  (All classes are available by post)

In this months class we did resist embossing as one of the techniques.  Every month I make sure we do something different ….. sometimes we revisit techniques we used a long time ago, sometimes new ones and sometimes the class decide what they want to do the next month.  We’ve got shaker cards, accordian cards, resist embossing on vellum and watercoloring coming up in the next few months among other things.  Its going to be an exciting few classes.

Stampin Up Awesome Gift

How cute is this.  It measures approximately 2 1/2″ square.  I’ve used the new labels thinlet dies to create the matts.  The base is tip top taupe, and has been stamped with blackberry bliss.  I have heat embossed with clear embossing powder and then stamped and inked over the top.

The lovely dragonfly is from the Awesomely Artistic set and has been stamped in blackberry bliss and then fussy cut, before being added to the gift card with a glue dot.

Hope to see you again tomorrow for more using this lovely set.

Stampin Up Decoupage Bejewelled

Hi everyone.

Stampin Up Decoupage Bejewelled

Todays post is the last in the Dahlia Stamp set series.  The Stampin Up Decoupage Bejewelled card is a gorgeous card.  I really enjoyed making this one and fussy cutting the layers, to create something a little different.

dd & ttt decoupage dahlia aug 2015

As you can see I first stamped the background with Tip Top Taupe.  My layers are Very Vanilla, Delightful Dijon, and then Very Vanilla.  The Tip Top Taupe gives a great contast to the Delightful Dijon and just highlights the Stampin Up Decoupage Bejewelled Dahia.  I stamped this twice onto very vanilla, before fussy cutting both and then adding random Rhinestones all over the centre.

I stamped and punched out a sentiment using the washi tape punch using very vanilla and then punched a second washi tape in delightful dijon.  This was cut in half and layered behind the first one to give depth and add interest.  This was adhered to the centre of the inside of the card.

I hope you liked today’s post.

Don’t forget to check the clearance rack, there has been some wonderful new items added.  Also the weekly deals are pretty amazing at the moment.

Check back tomorrow for the start of my 5 days of Awesomely Artistic.

Stampin Up Ink to Stamp Technique card

Hey everyone

STAMPIN UP INK TO STAMP TECHNIQUE CARD

Delightful Dahlia Day 2

I really had fun doing this card.  Todays Stampin Up Ink to Stamp Technique card is super fun to do and gives a different result every time.  What are you favourite colour combinations.  The Stampin Up ink to Stamp Technique Card gives you so many opportunities to combine all your favourite colour combinations.

Stampin Up Ink to Stamp Technique Card

I am loving the new 2015/17 In Colours – and here have combined the gorgeous Delightful Dijon ……. (such a lovely mustard colour) and the beautiful Watermelon Wonder …… (a stunning Pink/Peach colour.  I have added in a little bit of Tip Top Taupe …… (again one of the new 2015/17 colours.)

To create the Stampin up Ink to Stamp Technique card I have matted Delightful Dijon and Very Vanilla.  On the top Very Vanilla layer I stamped my images.

To create this subtle inked image I have used the Stampin Write Markers to colour straight onto the red rubber stamp.  Starting with tip top taupe on the edges I then added the Watermelon Wonder in varying degrees before  finally using delightful dijon in the middle.

The sentiment was stamped directly using the ink pad Watermelon Wonder and stamped over the top of the subtle image.

Here’s my supplies.

Stampin Up Double Butterflies

Hello peeps

STAMPIN UP DOUBLE BUTTERFLIES

Have you been enjoying the butterfly basics cards I have shown this week. Todays card, Stampin Up Double Butterflies is something a little bit different.  Its an A5 card, and I have used Island Indigo, Melon Mambo, and So Saffron.  I cut two butterflies using the butterfly thinnest dies and then stamped the front piece of the card.  I left the butterflies plain, but then covered them with with dazzling diamonds to give them sparkle.stampin up double butterflies

I also created stained glass panels to fit behind each butterfly.  The itty bitty butterflies were punched out and made 3d as well.  Its such a pretty card and I know thats it on its way to a customer in Australia as i speak.

Don’t forget to look at this weeks weekly deals, there are some amazing offers.

My cardbase is made from the lovely watermelon wonder cardstock.  I have then added Daffodil Delight embossed card.  Can you see that super cute embossing.  Yep it’s butterflies.  How cute it that.  Its one of the new ones from the new 2015/16 annual catalogue.

I punched out a watermelon wonder elegant butterfly and a cucumber crush one. Then split the cucumber crush one in half and layered it behind the watermelon one to create the layered look.  I took the petit petals punch and punched out 3 watermelon wonder flowers and then the new Tree Builder Punch and punched out 3 tiny daffodil delight flowers.

I have stamped the cowslip from the butterfly basics stamp set  twice and then coloured them.  Each was fussy cut and then layered onto the card front.  I stamped the lovely sentiment using the stamp set I think you’re lovely stamp set.

So what do you guys think of this one.  Such a great colour combination and with gorgeous images its definitely a winner.

STAMPIN UP STAINED GLASS BUTTERFLY BASICS

Morning lovelies.

STAMPIN UP STAINED GLASS BUTTERFLY BASICS

Sometimes its nice to create something clean and simple (CAS).  And todays card Stampin Up Stained Glass Butterfly is just one of those cards.  Beautiful yet, clean and uncluttered, with just the right amount of pizzazz.

I wanted to show you how amazing the framelits are that match the set and how they can be used as a focal point on your card.

Stampin Up Stained Glass Butterfly

This card uses the Stained Glass technique which is so simple to do.  Using Sponge daubers cover a piece of cardstock with colours of your choice.  This piece of card needs to be slightly bigger than the aperture you are going to cut in your top layer.

I cut my butterfly from a white pice of cardstock.  I then stamped the two daffodil delight lines using the Butterfly Basics stamp set in daffodil delight.  I have used both the die cut and the cardstock it was cut from.  By placing the coloured stained glass behind the front bit and then putting the butterfly back into its aperture.

All the items used to make this clean and simple Stampin Up Stained Glass Butterfly card can be purchased through my online shop, simply by clicking the link in the sidebar.

Check back again soon for more projects using the Butterfly Basics Stamp set from Stampin Up.

Hey folks,

EASILY DONE STAMPIN UP BUTTERFLY BASICS

So this is the first of my 6 days of Butterfly Basics.  Easily done Stampin Up Butterfly Basics is a great easel card and is so quick and simple to do, but oh so effective.

Who wouldn’t want to receive this gorgeous card with a beautiful floating multi coloured butterfly floating on the front.

I love the colours in this card, it reminds me of long hot summer days, walking my dogs through the meadows.

easily done stampin up butterfly basics

The wide selection of stamps in this stamp set makes collage backgrounds for your cards super easy, as everything co-ordinates perfectly.  The lovely long ferns, cute postmarks and the pretty little flowers are just some of the ones I used today.  Not to mention the cute sentiments.  It really is a must have set.

I created my easel base using whisper white cardstock, then stamped with Pear Pizzaz, Melon mambo, daffodil delight, and tip top taupe.  The butterfly was cut using the matching framelits.  (Whats more you can purchase the stamps and the framelits as a bundle and save 15% – it just gets better and better)

After cutting my butterfly I used sponge daubers and the same colours to create the multi coloured effect on the butterfly.

I really enjoyed creating this card and the ladies in my monthly classes all enjoyed creating this one.
