Stampin Up Butterfly Basics goes square

Hi Peeps

How are you all today

Stampin Up Butterfly Basics goes square

When the new 2015/17 colours were released I fell in love with them immediately an have been using them lots to create projects like todays Stampin Up Butterfly basics goes square.
Stampin Up Butterfly Basics goes square

My cardbase is made from the lovely watermelon wonder cardstock.  I have then added Daffodil Delight embossed card.  Can you see that super cute embossing.  Yep it’s butterflies.  How cute it that.  Its one of the new ones from the new 2015/16 annual catalogue.

I punched out a watermelon wonder elegant butterfly and a cucumber crush one. Then split the cucumber crush one in half and layered it behind the watermelon one to create the layered look.  I took the petit petals punch and punched out 3 watermelon wonder flowers and then the new Tree Builder Punch and punched out 3 tiny daffodil delight flowers.

I have stamped the cowslip from the butterfly basics stamp set  twice and then coloured them.  Each was fussy cut and then layered onto the card front.  I stamped the lovely sentiment using the stamp set I think you’re lovely stamp set.

So what do you guys think of this one.  Such a great colour combination and with gorgeous images its definitely a winner.

STAMPIN UP STAINED GLASS BUTTERFLY BASICS

Morning lovelies.

STAMPIN UP STAINED GLASS BUTTERFLY BASICS

Sometimes its nice to create something clean and simple (CAS).  And todays card Stampin Up Stained Glass Butterfly is just one of those cards.  Beautiful yet, clean and uncluttered, with just the right amount of pizzazz.

I wanted to show you how amazing the framelits are that match the set and how they can be used as a focal point on your card.

Stampin Up Stained Glass Butterfly

This card uses the Stained Glass technique which is so simple to do.  Using Sponge daubers cover a piece of cardstock with colours of your choice.  This piece of card needs to be slightly bigger than the aperture you are going to cut in your top layer.

I cut my butterfly from a white pice of cardstock.  I then stamped the two daffodil delight lines using the Butterfly Basics stamp set in daffodil delight.  I have used both the die cut and the cardstock it was cut from.  By placing the coloured stained glass behind the front bit and then putting the butterfly back into its aperture.

All the items used to make this clean and simple Stampin Up Stained Glass Butterfly card can be purchased through my online shop, simply by clicking the link in the sidebar.

Easily Done Stampin Up Butterfly Basics

Hey folks,

EASILY DONE STAMPIN UP BUTTERFLY BASICS

So this is the first of my 6 days of Butterfly Basics.  Easily done Stampin Up Butterfly Basics is a great easel card and is so quick and simple to do, but oh so effective.

Who wouldn’t want to receive this gorgeous card with a beautiful floating multi coloured butterfly floating on the front.

I love the colours in this card, it reminds me of long hot summer days, walking my dogs through the meadows.

easily done stampin up butterfly basics

The wide selection of stamps in this stamp set makes collage backgrounds for your cards super easy, as everything co-ordinates perfectly.  The lovely long ferns, cute postmarks and the pretty little flowers are just some of the ones I used today.  Not to mention the cute sentiments.  It really is a must have set.

I created my easel base using whisper white cardstock, then stamped with Pear Pizzaz, Melon mambo, daffodil delight, and tip top taupe.  The butterfly was cut using the matching framelits.  (Whats more you can purchase the stamps and the framelits as a bundle and save 15% – it just gets better and better)

After cutting my butterfly I used sponge daubers and the same colours to create the multi coloured effect on the butterfly.

I really enjoyed creating this card and the ladies in my monthly classes all enjoyed creating this one.

CLASSIC GUY GREETINGS FROM STAMPIN UP

Hiya everyone

CLASSIC GUY GREETINGS FROM STAMPIN UP

So today is the final of the five cards I have created recently using the Classic Guy Greetings from Stampin Up.  I am so in love with this set…. it solves so many problems when it come to having to make male cards.  There is a sentiment and image for every occasion.  Whats more the sentiments also lend themselves to other stamp sets as well, so you need never be stuck for a sentiment for a male card again.

guy car fathers day june

Today’s card is very vanilla and has been cut at 11 1/2″ x 5 3/4″  and then folded in half.  I then added Typeset DSP which had been distressed around the edges using crumb cake ink and our daubers.  This really does give a super soft effect and make the paper pop.

Again using very vanilla cardstock I stamped my image and have mounted it behind the polaroid frame I created using another piece of cardstock and my square framelits.  Before mounting on the card I stamped the Sentiment “To a Classic” on the front and then distress all the edges with the sponge daubers and crumb cake ink.

The banner was stamped and trimmed with the snips as before, and again has been inked using the sponge daubers.  I added three layers of ribbon, burlap, chevron and linen to create the flag effect under the banner.

Lastly I created a matching  envelope from the DSP to complement my card.

I hope you have enjoyed seeing these five creations as much as I have enjoyed making them.  Don’t forget to leave your comments I love hearing what you think.

Check back again for 5 days of Butterfly Basics.  So pretty and girly, I just know that your gonna love it.

As always all of the products used to create my cards can be found on my online shop simply by clicking the link in the side bar.

Guy Greetings from Stampin Up – day 1

Hi everyone,

GUY GREETINGS from Stampin Up created by Crunchie Crafts – Day 1

Apologies for the absence, but family life has not been easy and I needed some time out.  But i’m back with lots of lovely projects to show you and hopefully inspire you with.  Today I am showing you the first of 5 projects that I used the Guy Greetings stamp set from Stampin Up for.    I made these for fathers day, but you can change the greeting for birthday, or for any special occasion for that wonderful man in your life.

Guy Greetings from Stampin Up created by Crunchie Crafts Lisa Cornwall, Independent Stampin Up Demonstrator

To make this I used the lovely new thick Whisper White Cardstock for my card base, cut to 11 3/4″ x 5 3/4″.  Folded in half to create a 5 3/4″ square card.  Then I added some Typeset DSP, which had been ink distressed.

This DSP (Designer Series Paper) is really lovely to use and is slightly lighter in weight than our other DSP, but the designs are really beautiful and very versatile.

I stamped onto whisper white and cut the gorgeous frame using a rectangle of DSP and our square framelits.  Its easy to create this lovely polaroid photo effect in this way.  To create the banner I cut a 1″ strip of cardstock, stamped my sentiment and then using Snips cut the banner end.  I stuck this onto my card using dimensionals.  Everything has been distressed with crumb cake ink, before I added some burlap ribbon and some chevron ribbon, and finally stuck my polaroid style stamped topper.

All these products can be purchased from my online store by clicking the link in the sidebar or here

Blog hop logo

Thank you for joining us on another Pinkies Blog Hop! We’re showcasing lots of gorgeous ideas using products from the new Stampin Up!® Annual Catalogue.  Simply use the buttons at the end of each post to keep hopping!

Today I am showcasing the second project that I made for the Regionals in Telford.

I used the gorgeous Bohemian Suite of products, including DSP, washi tape, embossing folders, and of course stamps.  Its so gorgeous and so versatile.  When I first saw it I was so unsure about it, but now I absolutely love it.

I have made 4 stepped up cards from the versions you saw earlier in the week along with an enlarged bag in a box.  This is really popular at the moment.  Several UK demos as well as Chi Chi in the States are showcasing them.  I have enlarged mine and added the cute flower on the front.

Plenty to shout about

Hi everyone.

I just wanted to show you this gorgeous card made using the Sheltering Tree stamp made for one of my new downline, Jan Plenty.
Welcome Jan to the Crafting Birds.  I hope you have fun and enjoy your Stampin Up journey.

All of my newbies get a gift from me and I made Jan’s using retired DSP, but teamed it with a current stamp Set.

I’m sorry because my photos keep flipping and I have no idea why.  I have an appointment with a computer teacher this week to help me learn a bit more…… scarily the teacher will be in their 20’s I expect and I’m some old computer illiterate 40 something, who find this all very confusing.

I do hope you love the colours here.  I used Bermuda Bay, Pool Party and Watermelon Wonder.

New Logo, Fat Paper and a Road Trip

Morning lovelies and how are you?

The last few weeks have been amazing, I’ve packed so much in and seen so many of you.  Its been great.

So what have I been up to?

There’s been lots going on here …….. But first ….  Do you love my new logo?  Don’t you think it looks just like peonies?  I love it.  Thank you to the lovely Catherine for working so hard.

Fat Paper and my Road Trip

I was lucky enough and very honoured to be asked to give a MAX and WOW presentation at the Stampin Up! Regional event in Telford last weekend.  This is a day where demonstrators (hobby and business alike) get together, play with new products, get creative and also do a little bit of training.  Its an awesome event and one I would highly recommend.

Anyway I received the phone call back in March, from the lovely Paula Gorry, asking if I would take part in the event.  Astounded and shocked, but highly delighted I said yes. I was really lucky I was being partnered by my lovely friend Mikaela Titheridge.  Then the nerves kicked in ………….. what if I fluffed my lines, what if my demonstration pieces weren’t like ……….. you know the kind of things.

So in April my Kit arrived.  All new products from the new 2015/16 Catalogue.  I was given the Bohemian Suite of products.

My first thought ……………… its all straight lines, I can’t do this, but I love the colours in the new DSP.  As I started to play I fell completely in love with this suite of products.  Its just so gorgeous, from the embossing folders to the washi tape, its just so lovely.  I came up with a box, eight different cards and my take on the box in a bag, that everyone is currently making.  I even managed to make flowers from diamond shapes in the stamps.

So the big weekend arrived, and the event began.  On Friday I got to spend some amazing time with some of my downline and also with my upline and other demonstrators.  The road trip started early Friday, alongside two of my downline.  It was great fun, and we didn’t stop chatting the whole way.  Afternoon Tea, Steak Dinners and lots of laughs were just some of the highlights.

Saturday morning arrived along with 350 demonstrators all every excited, and keen to see what everyone on the Design Team had made.  There were lots of gorgeous amazing makes and some great presentations by other Demonstrators.

The day whizzed by and soon it was my turn.  I was partnering with the lovely Mikaela Titheridge.  We introduced ourselves and so it began.  All went well until I tried to say “flat” paper.  It came out FAT, not just once but twice.  Oh well, it gave everyone a huge giggle.  Me included.

Here’s my first four cards and their little holder, made from “fat” paper.  I’ll show you the rest on Saturday.
