abc continues over on docrafts

Hi everyone

Well it’s been a hectic week here in Somerset, kids on half term so lots of fun things to be done, amongst them was a trip to the cinema (Saw Tintin in 3D)  It’s so great to have kids to be able to have an excuse to go and see these fab films.

Anyway this week has also had another 7 days of abc challenge cards

I have been really busy this week with the ABC Christmas Challenge, organised and hosted by my friend Ginny (AsIDoRodos) over on the Docrafts forum.  This fab challenge is a card every day, one for each letter, eg day 1 = a etc etc.

Well we are up to F and I thought I would post pics of my cards to show you.

I have also been on a distressing afternoon course at my local Garden Centre – Monkton Elm, it was fab and Gail our marvelous demonstrator was brilliant.  So thanks Gail I learnt a lot and as you can see I have put some of the techniques you taught to good use in my cards.  So here they are:

Humphrey’s blue wedding

Morning everyone

Looking back over my last couple of posts I seem to have had a thing about blue and weddings.  Well here’s another blue wedding card.  I think the aqua colour (which is my fav gemstone Aquarmarine) is such a delicate colour and lends itself perfectly to this kind of card.

I have added lots of bling and glitz to this card.  The buttons are some I had in the bottom of the tin.  My ribbon I bought at a local craft fayre.  The blue glitter paper is Papermania.  The roses were won in a draw.  The backing papers are Coredinations lime green and the flowery one is from the Canterbury collection by Kanban.  I have used Anitas Gems to finish the card off.  The bling under the roses has been  recycled from a necklace

I wish to enter this card in the following challanges:

Cute Card Thursday – Sketch
Colour Create – Aqua, lime and white
Creative Craft Challenge – Buttons and Bling
C E S (Crafty Emma) – Recyle
Dream Valley Challenges – No 16 Buttons
Paper Sundaes – Anything Goes No 88
Cupcake Inspirations – colour challenge

I had a lovely surprise when I switched on the computer this morning.  The lovely Lisa-Jane of My Makes”n”me had showcased me as her favourite project from last weeks Make It Monday Linking Party. I entered the Black ‘n’ Gold Forever Friends Gift Set.

Lisa is also a DT for Ladybug Crafts Inc.  They are having a blog hop today.
Anyway thanks Lisa for showcasing my entry.

Sugar Nellie and LOTV

I’ve had a great day today, Not only did the Cutie Pie Blog go live but, Mr Mojo has definitely been present today and I have had a very productive day.  I have made two cards today, one for an Aunt’s birthday and one to go in my stash.

I hope you like them

The first is a cute Sugar Nellie image.  I have coloured her in pinks and blues.  She is matted and layered on to papers and miriboard.  The papers are from the Papermania Birthday collection and also from the Magnolia Flower Garden pack.  I have used papermania pink roses, glossy accents, some card candi and of course a double ribbon bow.  The gorgeous image was of course coloured with promarkers.

The next card is this cute little LOTV bear going for a drive in his fab mini convertible (oh how I wish)……  Anyway the papers are from the  Forever Friends Good Life collection.  I have used a Tulip sentiment and some card candi.  The image is coloured with Promarkers and the shadowing underneath the car with Dovecraft chalks.  I have decorated the inside with a car cut from the Heritage Cricut collection.

I am going to enter this card into the following challenges

Pirate Tilda, Have a lovely day

Pirate Tilda, dressing in pinks, whites and a touch of maroon.  Sat on her barrel of rum with her sparkly skull.  Matted and layered onto Papermania Happy Birthday paper.
Flowers were made with Cuttlebug cutter, silver flower shells, mother of pearl sequins and some sticky pearls.

Tilda was coloured with Promarkers : Putty, Ivory, Pale Pink, Baby Pink, Cinnamon, Marron, Dusky Rose, Rose Pink, Cool Grey 3, Henna, Canary, Cool Grey 4, Cocoa.
The glitter to her eyepatch, hat and skull was added using Stickies glues.  The sentiment is from the Tulip range.
