Stampin Up Fussy Cut Definitely Dahlia

Hey everyone

Stampin Up Fussy Cut Definitely Dahlia

Definitely Dahlia is fast becoming one of my favourite background stamps.  But it really doesn’t have to remain in the background.  Stampin Up fussy Cut Definitely Dahlia shows how versatile this background stamp is and how much it cry out to be the show stopper on any card.

How to create Stampin Up Fussy Cut Definitely Dahlia

I started off with very vanilla cardstock.  I love the subtle colour of this cardstock. Its not a harsh cream colour, but a beautiful summery colour which sets everyone one of the 48 Stampin Up Ink colours off perfectly.  It really is one of my favourite go-to card base colours.

Stampin Up Fussy Cut Definitely Dahlia

I stamped two definitely dahlias in Cucumber Crush, but they were stamped off the cardstock to only give 3/4 of the image on each edge of the card.

I then fussy cut around these, but left a 1″ gap in the middle to join the two together.

Lastly I then stamped in Watermelon Wonder on another Very vanilla piece and completely fussy cut this piece.  I then added this to the front of the card using the dimensionals to give depth to the card.

I love the way the colours complement each other and how the shape of the card is so unique.

Blue Shoes with Stampin UP Guy Greetings

Hey guys,

STAMPING UP GUY GREETINGS BLUE SHOES

So are you loving the other cards in this series of cards.  I have been having great fun using the Guy Greetings stamp set from Stampin Up.  Today’s card is Blue Shoes and has been made using the Stampin Up Guy Greetings stamp set.

I have changed the colours again and this time have used pool party.  I used the gorgeous large dots embossing folder to create the background.  Isn’t this just too cute.
blue shoes with Stampin Up Guy Greetings

The base of my card is very vanilla and I have stamped the shoes directly onto the inside of the card.  The front was matted and layered.  The shoes were stamped in a line using my Stampa -ma – jig.  This is a great tool for being able to line up stamped images and get them exactly where I need them to be.

I also used it put the sentiment onto the top of the shoes.

The little banner sentiment was stamped and then I used the snips to cut the banner ends into it.  The edges of the matting and layering have been distressed with the same colour ink to give definition to the card.

This would make a great birthday card for the fashionista male in your household.

As always all the products used to make this card can be purchased from my online shop simply by clicking the link in the side bar.

All is calm convention table cutlery holder goes to a wedding with Crisp Cantaloupe and Calypso coral

Morning everyone.

Do you remember the gorgeous pictures of my 2014 convention table.

Here’s a close up of the cutlery holder
Isn’t this just cute.  Lots of people have asked how I made this.
I was also asked to do an inspiration station at our team training on Sunday with the lovely Michelle.
If you would like to be part of an amazing and creative team then do get in touch or go to
We discussed what she wanted me to do and we decided that recreating the above table would be great, but for another occasion.
So I have remade them, in lovely Wedding colours.
Crisp Cantaloupe meets calypso coral.
I used the box board for the table favours and the napkin rings this time.
The gorgeous flowers have been inked in matching colours and to set of these gorgeous tones i have used Pistachio Pudding and gold glimmer paper.
And here’s what you need and the instructions.

CUTLERY HOLDER
Ingredients:
Park Lane DSP
Calypso Coral Cardstock
Crisp Cantaloupe Cardstock
White Organza Ribbon
Glue Dots
Tombow
Dimensional
Tools:
Scoreboard
Trimmer
Envelope Punch Board
Instructions
Cut Calypso coral cardstock to 10” x 4”.    Using a sponge edge the cardstock with calypso coral ink.
Cut the crisp cantaloupe cardstock to 9 15/16ths” x  3 7/8th”.  Using a sponge and calypso coral ink distress the edge.
Stamp the sentiment on the top
Adhere the two bits together, making sure there is a border on both sides and at the top.
Cut the DSP to 6” x 5”
Using your score board score 3 sides at ¼ “ and ½” .  Burnish
Score the other side at ½”
Using the Envelope Punch Board.  Punch on the side scored at 1/2 “ by lining the paper up at 1” mark.  Turn the DSP over and again punch at 1” mark.
Using your trimmer cut the edges away on each side to form a tab in the middle.  Fold over
Cut away the three outer small squares at the bottom 2 corners.  And cut the along one edge of the last remaining small square.  This will leave a small flap.  Fold edges in to form a small box shape.

Using tombow glue this to the back of your cutlery holder, taking care to line up the bottom.

I hope you enjoy making these for your christmas tables etc.

But I would ask that if you case this project you please link back to me.

Sunday Stamps – Colour Challenge No 89 …… meets Stampin Up UK Perfect …….

Hi everyone.

So that fortnight went by super quick.  I can’t believe it’s Sunday again and there is another challenge over at Sunday Stamps.

I am really honoured to be doing this month’s guest designer spot, and want to thank everyone of you that has popped over to take a look at my blog.

I loved seeing everyone’s creations in the last challenge and can’t wait to see what you come up with for this one.

Anyway this week the challenge is a colour challenge;  It’s number SSC89.

I loved this colour combination.
For those of you who don’t use Stampin Up Products the colours are:
Plum, Lavender and Vanilla
For those of you, who like me use Stampin Up the colours are:
Perfect Plum, Wisteria Wonder and Very Vanilla
So for those of you who have popped in and out of my blog, you will know that I love 3d items, I also love flower arranging and a while back I learnt how to make wrist corsages.
So with that in mind I set to work, because if Mother Nature can do it then so can I.
So first I made the gift box.  Because you wouldn’t not wrap this gift.  Its in Wisteria Wonder.
I stamped it using the Bordering Blooms stamp set.  How cute is that.

I also used the flower from Everything Eleanor.  I stamped the box in Wisteria Wonder.  Added a gift tae in Perfect Plum, punched with the Scallop Gift Tag Punch again stamped in Perfect Plum.

The flower on the box and in the centre of the corsage is very vanilla cardstock that has been distressed with both Perfect Plum and Wisteria Wonder ink.  I have added some Basic Jewels to give it a bit of sparkle.
The leaves and the flower are cut using the Flower Frenzy die.  I love this die.

Lastly I hot glued the flower to the Cotton Ribbon, again from Stampin UP.
I hope you have enjoyed this project.  I just need an occasion to be able to wear this one now.
If anyone would like one of these then please contact me.
Anyone who spends £50 or more in my online shop today will receive a special gift direct from me.
Don’t forget to pop over to Sunday Stamps and enter into this fortnight’s colour challenge, I can’t wait to see what you come up with.

Letterpress just for you …………… and new

Morning Crunchies.  How are you all?
Today is wet in Somerset, but I am staying in the craft room and keeping warm and dry.
In today’s Blog:
  • Letterpress Day 3 – Just for you
  • Weekly Deals

So as promised all week I am blogging about a recent class I did.  It was a huge success and all my ladies loved it.  I am running a second class of this later this week.
Here’s the third card in the set using the lovely Letterpress Stamp Set.
To start with I added ribbon to my first matt layer and adhered behind – so there are no horrid ends showing.  Added a ribbon bow in matching lost lagoon.  Then I matted and layered the whisper white cardstock,  and then a lost lagoon layer before adding a final white layer.  The top layer has been stamped with Pear pizzazz, and Pool Party.  I then stamped and punched the sentiment – again from the Letterpress set.
I will be making this card in different colours as it so cute. I saw a similar design on Pinterest by Think Pink, but I have changed it up a bit.  Love it.
Look at all the lovely goodies.  Ribbon, washi tape and so so much more.  Not got these lovely Word Bubble Framelits. They are so awesome to use.  Remember this one.
The sentiments in these were cut with those framelits.  A must for great layering.
Don’t forget all these discounted prices are only available for 1 week.  So hurry and get yours before the price goes back up.
See you tomorrow.
Thanks again to everyone that continues to order both in person and on-line.  Your continued support means so much.
Big Hugs

Snowflakes get flippy

Morning Crunchies,
Hope today finds you all well and with time to get crafty.
Did you manage to take in all the news I shared in yesterday’s post.  So much going on at the moment.
If you missed it here is the link:  Letterpress Day
So today I wanted to show you another card using the lovely letterpress stamp set.
I have combined it with the Snowflake Flip Die
And some of the gorgeous All is Calm washi tape
The lovely snowflake and tree shapes are also included in the Snowflake Flip Thinlets Die.
The card base is lost lagoon and I have used lost lagoon ink to stamp the large snowflake from the Letterpress set on either side of the snowflake shape and then added the cut outs using dimensionals.
Lastly I have added washi tape down either edge and added a few snowflakes from the lovely frosted sequins pack
I also used both the stamps and the die to create the Menu card for my Table Display at the Stampin Up! European Convention.
On this one I cut twice with the die.
Isn’t is just so cute.
Thanks for stopping by.  As always you comments are always appreciated.
Don’t forget that today is the last day for this week’s weekly Deals.  (They change tonight)
And also please don’t miss out on that gorgeous stars kit.  So simple yet so stunning.

Morning Crunchies

How are you all today?  Ive had a very busy weekend, a great class on Saturday and then meeting a customer yesterday for a commissioned order.

The kids are on half term this week, such a shame its grey and dull here in Somerset.

Many of you have commented on Facebook or on my blog about the lovely table setting that I did for Convention.  Thank you.

The basis of the setting was the lovely Letterpress stamp set.  I loved this stamp set from the moment I saw it in the autumn/winter catalogue.  Its so clean and simple yet timelessly elegant.

So this week I will be featuring five cards that have used this gorgeous set.

In today’s post:

  • Clearance Rack
  • Many Merry Stars and Autumn/Winter Supplement
  • Letterpress Day 1

But first some news:

Places to check …………. have you checked the Clearance Rack lately.  There are some truly awesome deals there ………. lots of Halloween and Christmas stock.  Gorgeous papers, cardstock and much much more.  Some lovely kits from last year’s Autumn/Winter supplement.  So if you missed them last year why not grab them this year.

But hurry these things never stay for very long and once they’ve gone thats it.

HERES THE LINK TO THE CLEARANCE RACK.

So grab your coffee and go have a browse.

And even more exciting than that …………..

We have a new Autumn/winter Supplement.  And there are just so many divine and gorgeous projects featured in it.  I can’t wait to show you.  Super super cute.

Here’s the link to the supplement.

Isn’t that Star just super super cute.  I love it so much.  Its from the Many Merry Stars Kit.  You get 26 Stars in Total for just £24.95.  All cut and ready for you to assemble.  The kit includes everything you need to decorate them too.
But please hurry.  Because once this kit is sold out they are not producing any more.
Anyway on to today’s card
Letterpress Day 1
I love the clean and simple lines of this set and love the colours.  Today I have used Lost Lagoon, Pear Pizzazz, and Pool Party.
I have matted and layered Lost lagoon, Whisper white and some All is Calm DSP.
I have also created my own DSP by using the snowflake stamps in all three colours.  This piece is behind the DSP.
The sentiment is in a lovely font and to finish off I added some beautiful sparkly sequins.  I loathe sequins normally but I have to say I have been well and truly won over with this box of beauties from Stampin UP!
Hope you like it.

hexagons gone punchy

Hi guys, Lisa, your local Stampin Up Uk Independent Demonstrator here.

In today’s post

  • Six sided sampler meets the colour coach
  • weekly deals

SIX SIDED SAMPLER MEETS THE COLOUR COACH – CARD 1

So on Monday I talked about the colour coach and how much it has helped me when I’ve been stuck.  I was challenged on Monday to just open it and then go with whatever colours appeared.

I opened it at Always Artichoke. – Green …….. hmm not a colour I work with a lot.  So turning it over it showed Cajun Craze, So Saffron and Always Artichoke paired together.

OK.

I also challenged myself to use the Six sided sampler set ……. I don’t own this now, but I will soon.  I really didn’t like it.  Too geometric, out of my comfort zone.  What would I use that for.

How wrong was I.  I love it.  Love the way you can create amazing backgrounds with it.  Gorgeous.

Anyway here’s today’s card – its the last of the three I created and I am really pleased with this one.

I have used the co-ordinating punch to punch out random areas of the stamped cardstock to create apertures in the pattern.  I have also stamped below these panels.  This time I have again punched out the sentiment and added some white bakers twine and a jewel.

I have used  my Stampa-ma-jig when making all of these cards and I have really loved it.  Watch this space I have a feeling there may be more six sided sampler cards to come.

Hope you like it.  If you want to have a go at this and need supplies simply hop over to my shop and order them.  It couldn’t be easier, just click the link
