Stampin Up Vintage Leaves Wreath

Hi Guys,

Stampin Up Vintage Leaves Wreath

When I first looked through the new annual catalogue I complete dismissed these gorgeous leaves.  It never dawned on me that I could make a beautiful Stampin Up Vintage Leaves Wreath, let alone the beautiful cards that have also been made.  All I saw was leaves not potential.

How many of you have been uninspired by what you’ve seen, or thought I can’t use that in lots of ways so I’m not going to get it.  I have come to the conclusion that these are the sets that we go back to time and time again.  I have loved using these leaves.

I have stamped them, die cut them, coloured them, heat embossed them, emboss resisted them, you name it I’ve done it to these Stampin Up Vintage Leaves.  They are a must have.

Heres my gorgeous wreath.  I have used Delightful Dijon, Cherry Cobbler, Cajun Craze and Chocolate Chip in this one.  It is absolutely gorgeous.

As you can see I stamped every leaf in Early Espresso, and then cut using the matching framelits. I am so in love with my Stampin Up Vintage Leaves Wreath that I have made two.  One for local shop display and one for my home.

To finish off I used the stunning Watercolour Wings.  This fantastic triple stamping set is done in Cherry Cobbler, Cajun Craze and Delightful Dijon.  I have layered three butterflies and finished off with Pearl Basic Jewels.  Of course, when the seasons change  I can remove the leaves – I have made this possible, and then add a winter theme, spring or summer theme as need be.

I am running a couple of classes on these.  If you would like to join in please get in touch.

Stampin Up Awesome Bokeh

Hi guys

Stampin Up Awesome Bokeh

A new technique today,  in my Stampin Up Awesome Bokeh technique class.

Do you know what Bokeh is?  Its a technical photographic term and refers to the light bubbles seen in photographs.  This is a great technique to try and its one that gets very messy.  So there were lots of inky fingers around.  My perfect kind of day.

I will be doing a photographic tutorial on this in a future post so you can see how its one.  (One day I may pluck up the courage to do videos.  Would you guys like that?)

I just love the colour combinations used in these cards.  Adore how the awesomely artistic stamp set is ideal for this technique.  The ferns and dragonfly are just perfect for this kind of card.

Today is Wednesday, so the new Weekly Deals are launched today for this week.  Click this link to see what’s there and place you order through my online shop.

Stampin Up A Tissue

Hello peeps

Stampin Up A Tissue

A tissue, a tissue, we all fall down.  Memories of childhood nursery rhymes come to mind when I titled this one Stampin Up A Tissue.  But seriously today’s make is using the resist emboss technique.  Its a really cute tissue box cover to match the gift card I made yesterday.

Again I have used the lovely Tip Top Taupe from the 2015/17 In Colours and Blackberry Bliss from the 2014/16 In Colours.  These two sets of colours (10 in total) blend seamlessly together to give an amazing colour palette.

Stampin Up A Tissue

How gorgeous is that.  It fits over a standard size square box of tissues (available in most Supermarkets)  Again I have used the new labels thinlets dies to create my tissue hole and the surrounding trim.

I love the emboss resist technique and adore how the shading with the sponges highlights different ares of the box.  I have used blackberry bliss, tip top taupe and crumb cake to do this.  I have also stamped over the top as well.

Don’t forget to check back tomorrow for more inspiration.

An old favourite design revamped for a sneaky Stampin UP In colour Peak

Hi guys
Have you got a favourite colour – or is there a colour that reminds you of someone special?
For me that colour is green.  My Nan passed away in my early 20’s and we were very close, and her favourite colour was Green.  She loved all shades of green.
So what’s the colour that reminds you of someone.  I’d love to see your makes in that colour.
Anyway last year I made a card using the diagonal score board.  Its great for creating unique backgrounds.  I wanted to recreate it and change it up a bit for this year’s new In – Colours from Stampin UP.
So here it is …………
Mossy Meadow Flower Card
Isn’t the criss cross background so cute, and so simple to do.
But wait ……… ooooh I forgot to say there is another sneaky peak on here as well.
And the inside ……….. more sneaky peak.
Of course I sponged the edges of the little flowers with the matching Mossy Meadow Ink.
This lovely punch is part of the New Itty Bitty Punch Pack.  Such cute punches.  I know you’ll just love them.
I have left the sentiment off this card.  But it would look great at the bottom right hand corner.
Don’t forget there’s only a few days left to get your retiring stock now
And you can still join Stampin Up for only £50 until the end of June (30th)
Check back tomorrow for the New weekly deals and another sneaky peaky.
