Good Morning, the sun is shining, the birds are singing …… it is a beautiful day. This week I am saying Hello Pampered Pets …. Such beautiful images for dog and cat lovers alike.
Sadly as a dog lover we had to make the heart breaking decision – that every owner dreads on Friday. Gabi was seriously ill, and it was her time. Blake Vets made this a very beautiful and special moment. Allowing us to use their garden and be with her outside. Gabi will be much missed, but I know that she has passed over the Rainbow Bridge and is running around pain free.
Pampered Pets ….
It seemed fitting this week to say Hello Pampered Pets …. to thank Blake Vets and to send tribute to this gorgeous girl.
Todays card is a very simple make but looks very stylish. It is a thank you card for Blake Vets. There is also a matching 12 x 12 Scrapbook page – which has been added to a frame and will be delivered to them today. I also have to pay the invoice 🙁
Take an A4 piece of cardstock and cut to 11″ x 5 1/2″ Score on the the long side at 5 1/2″. This gives a 5 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ card base.
Real red cardstock is cut at 5 1/4″ x 5 1/4″ Adhere to your base. I also cut the same for the inside layer.
Whisper White is 5″ x 5″. Cut a mask from copy paper using the Stitched Be Mine Dies.
Centre this mask on the whisper white and then using momento ink and a dauber sponge your card to give the marble appearance you can see above.
Remove the mask and then stamp the Dog from the Pampered Pets Stamp Set. Colour with Blends.
Cut the Heart using the Stitched Be Mine Dies in Real Red Cardstock. Adhere to the front. I used the Inside heart inside the front cover of my card. (I cannot show you as I have written in it!)
How adorable are these images. This stamp set is part of the Playful Pets Suite of products. The Designer Series Paper (DSP) is so cute and the dies also cut some of the images.
Hello Pampered Pets …. Frame
Saying Thank You is hugely important to me. If someone does something for me, I was brought up to say Thank You. It does not matter, even if the thing was painful to go through, a Thank You is still deserved.
Creating this 12″ x 12″ Scrapbook page was great fun. Using Sahara Sand as my base colour, then then cut squares of Basic Black 3″ x 3″ (9 in total).
Real red matt layers are cut at 2 3/4″ x 2 3/4″ and adhered to the basic black. Then I cut into my gorgeous Playful Pets Designer Series paper. So stinking cute. I have to say it was hard cutting some of it – i sliced several heads and tails off in the process. The DSP squares are 2 1/2″ x 2 1/2″.
Then comes the fussy cutting, I choose which animals to cut and sat with my Paper Snips – (These are by far the best scissors for this) and got to work. Fussy cutting is not only very therapeutic, but is a great work out. It exercises your brain, your hand – eye coordination and your hands. So not only will you be creating something beautiful – but you will be having a work out too. Win Win.
The layered hearts are made using the Heart Punch Pack Punch in Basic Black and Real Red. (The real red spots are from a retired Stampin’ Up! DSP) The Letters are the Retired Large Letter Dies – I will never part with these.
