Hi everyone, Can you believe that it is Thursday already? Where has the week gone? It”s been quite a week here, cars breaking down, cars needing tyres, cars needing new lights, and believe you me that’s just the Kid’s cars. Oh the joys of being a parent ….. so its been back to Mum’s taxi for a while, or can I borrow the car Mum? All I can say is i’m pleased the four legged children in my family can’t drive …… or I would be totally broke! Thankfully I have found time to craft – and birds and branches is just so much fun to work with. I wanted to showcase the lovely birds but needed to incorporate extra foliage so this Birds and Branches fancy fold card evolved.
BIRDS AND BRANCHES
These gorgeous little birds are so pretty and can be stamped in so many colour combinations. The ones above are stamped in Soft Suede straight onto soft sea foam cardstock. I have been playing around with lots of colour combinations and if you have been following my Facebook Lives this week you will have seen some of my favourites.
The depth in this card has been created using a fancy fold. The front folds flat to go in a normal C6 envelope. It is similar to the Pop Up Box cards that we were all making a few years ago. I have added several layers of foliage, all cut in different colours, but using the same die from the Birds and More Die Set.
The Birds and More Die set is available as part of the Birds and Branches Bundle. There is so much in this bundle, 16 Dies and 19 Stamps. It really is gorgeous and is very detailed.
Not only do you have the dies to cut out all the images but you also have extra detailed dies. These include the gorgeous edging strip, the two detailed birds and the branch of leaves.
Whilst making this gorgeous card, I decided to create a gift box to go with it. Using the same colour scheme I got out my Stampin Trimmer and got to work. Wanting to add a pop of colour I topped my box off with a Magenta Madness Peony.
The base of my card and the box are Pear Pizazz, then I have added in Soft Suede and Shaded Spruce. This colour combination reminds me of the woods I used to walk my dogs in, when I lived in Cornwall. There were loads of different varieties of trees including Spruce.
If you would like to see more of the peony then please pop over to my Peony Card here
You Can Still Party ….
There are lots more projects coming your way with this gorgeous suite. If you would like to get to use them, and have fun at the same time, why not book a virtual party. Get together with your friend, virtually, have fun and craft together. I will also be there virtually and will supply the make and take packs to all your guests. You can still earn your hostess credits and earn free goodies from the catalogues and have fun. Don’t let being at home and social distancing stop you enjoying time crafting with friends. Anything is possible.
If you would like to know more about a virtual party or to book one, then please get in touch with me.
I have done several of these and they are amazing fun, we may not be together in person, but we can be over a screen. We can still, laugh, share and create in the same way. But best of all we can support and encourage each other and give each other strength. A virtual party really does bring us closer.
Sending you all hugs and hoping you are all well.
