Special Someone is one of my favourite stamp sets, and I have used it an awful lot. I adore the little critters in it. So when I was asked to do a Special Someone reverse image technique these squirrels just jumped at the chance.
Everyone needs a little bit of love
I hope that you have had a good couple of days since we last met, and that you have had some fun and been shown a little bit of love. It certainly is good for the soul, and the heart. I get my fix from this gorgeous little lady. (Yes she is a Mummy’s girl). I just had to share this smile with you. She was sat next to me smiling broadly and I managed to snap it quick.
Two Little Squirrels
The idea for this card was born when one of my customers asked me to share the technique for reverse imaging using the Stamparatus. I love this amazing Stamp Positioning Tool. With it’s two removable plates it is by far the best available. Absolutely love it. To do the reverse imaging technique with the Stamparatus you also need your Silicone Mat. You can see how to do the technique to create the Special Someone Reverse Image in the Video linked below.
Last Chance Product
We all have that stamp in our collection that when it retires we realise we haven’t used it nearly enough. For me that stamp this year is the Crackle Paint stamp. I love the wonderful effect it gives and how beautiful it looks. So pretty stamped in any colour and a perfect background for my two little squirrels. This product of course won’t be around much longer – in fact you only have until 2nd June 2020 before it retires. I personally won’t be parting with mine as I will be using it in my scrapbooking and memory keeping.
The sentiment on this card, is so apt for the situation we are currently living in. Though I am far from many friends and family we are close at heart and this was the perfect sentiment for two back to back squirrels. The sentiment is from the Share Sunshine PDF release from Stampin’ Up!. This too also retires on 2nd June 2020.
Wink of Stella
Now every girl needs a little bit of sparkle in her life. For me, apart from glitter, the next best thing, and less messy, is my Wink of Stella Pen. Its amazing and can be used to add a light dusting of shimmer to any project or also to colour with using our inks. Simply squeeze your pad together slightly to create a pool of ink in the lid (or use some from a re-inker on a block) and pick up the ink with your Wink of Stella. Voila, perfectly coloured and sparkly images in one easy step. I love the subtle shimmer these Special Someone Reverse images have. So adorable. They are stamped in Soft Suede and coloured in Terracotta Tile.
Im hoping you are loving todays card.
